Gravity casting in a broad sense includes sand casting, metal mold casting, investment casting, lost die casting, mud mold casting, etc. Gravity casting in a narrow sense mainly refers to metal mold casting.

　　The principle of the Gravity Casting Machine is simply to use the principle of standard air pressure to pressurize the product and give it a solid shape. Although it sounds simple, the manufacturing process is not that simple. To be specific, it first needs to release a gas pressure of 0.01~0.05Mpa or an inert gas pressure on the surface of the molten furnace in a closed holding furnace. The molten soup rises through the soup feeding tube (liquid riser tube) immersed in the molten soup and is pressed into the upper mold connected to the furnace.

 

        1．There are many process methods that can make metal materials into required products, such as casting, forging, extrusion, rolling, drawing, stamping, cutting, powder metallurgy, etc. Among them, casting is the most basic and commonly used process.

 

        2． The molten metal is poured into a hollow mold made of high-temperature-resistant materials, and after condensation, a product of the desired shape is obtained. This is casting. The resulting product is a casting.

 

        3． Casting can be divided into ferrous metal casting (including cast iron, cast steel) and non-ferrous metal casting (including aluminum alloy, copper alloy, zinc alloy, magnesium alloy, etc.) according to the material of the casting.         Gravity casting often uses its penetration test and coloring test. It soaks or sprays the colored liquid with its high penetration ability on the surface of the casting. The penetrant enters the opening defect, quickly wipes off the surface penetration liquid layer, and then An easy-to-dry revealing agent (also called a developer) is sprayed onto the surface of the casting. After the penetrating agent remaining in the opening defects is sucked out, the revealing agent is dyed and can reflect the shape, size and distribution of the defects.
