Hydraulic press pressure is insufficient and the cylinder is not running smoothly. Repair methods

1. Elimination method: Replace the piston or sealing ring and maintain a reasonable clearance.

 

2. Cause of leakage: The space between the cylinder and the piston is too large due to wear. If the piston is equipped with a sealing ring, the sealing effect will be lost due to wear or aging of the sealing ring.

 

3. If only a certain part of the cylinder is often used, the part will be seriously worn, the gap will increase, and the cylinder will leak. At this time, the bore can be reground and the piston refitted.

There is something strange inside the hydraulic cylinder, and the movement resistance is too large, causing the speed of the cylinder to change with the different stroke directions.

 

The reason for this phenomenon: It is said to be caused by poor installation quality. (The piston rod seal is pressed too tightly, the piston rod is long, and excessive pressure is formed on the sliding part) or dirt enters the sliding part of the cylinder (especially granular dirt)

 

If stolen goods enter the relief valve, the valve core is in a normally open state, the oil automatically flows back to the tank, and no oil flows into the hydraulic cylinder.

 

If the load is too large, although the adjustment pressure of the relief valve has reached the maximum rating, the cylinder still cannot obtain the force required for continuous action and the cylinder will not move. If the adjustment pressure is low and cannot reach the thrust required by the load, it means that the pressure is insufficient and the thrust is insufficient. These problems all occur on the relief valve of the hydraulic press, so the relief valve should be checked.

 

There is air in the cylinder or insufficient oil supply from the oil pump, which will cause the cylinder to move unstable (or move slowly).

 

Solution: clean the air in the hydraulic cylinder or check the oil pump.

 

There is also a situation where the pressure in the cylinder shown on the pressure gauge is satisfactory, but the cylinder still cannot be pushed.

 

The reason for this phenomenon: usually the peripheral surface of the piston is in tight contact with the cylinder head, the pressure oil cannot enter, or the effective working area of ​​the hydraulic press is too small and cannot generate sufficient thrust to move the cylinder.
