1. Sand drying:

 

    （1）Wear a heat mask when adding coal or removing slag to prevent flames and heat from burning your face.

 

    （2）When loading the furnace, ensure that the loading is stable, and the sand boxes should be stacked with the larger one at the bottom and the smaller one at the top. The four corners between the upper and lower sand boxes should be plugged with iron sheets to prevent tilting and shaking.

 

   （3）When lifting the sand mold (core), pay attention to the lifting weight and do not exceed the driving load.

 

    （4）It is forbidden to accumulate flammable and explosive materials near the fire door. Avoid accumulation of obstacles near the furnace door and around the track to ensure smooth access for vehicles.

 

    （5）When loading and unloading the furnace, a dedicated person must be in charge. When loading and unloading the sand mold (core), the sand mold (core) should be loaded and unloaded evenly. Unilateral adjustment is not allowed to prevent overturning.

 

2. Falling sand and finishing:

 

  （1）When cleaning the sand manually, it is necessary to prevent the residual adhering sand and the flash, burrs on the casting, cuts on the hands from the pouring riser, and the damage to the eyes caused by the flying sand.

 

  （2）When using an air shovel, you should pay attention to: The compressed air hose of the air shovel should be firmly and securely connected to the air duct and the air shovel; the air shovel should be placed next to the casting to be cleaned before starting it; when out of use, close the valve on the air duct. Stop the air supply to the air shovel, and insert the air shovel vertically into the ground; do not shovel toward people to prevent flying debris from injuring people.

 

  （3）When taking castings from the casting pile, they should be taken from top to bottom to prevent the castings from collapsing and injuring people. A crane should be used to turn serious castings. When hanging castings from a crane or overturning castings by hand, be sure to prevent the sling or castings from squeezing your hands.

 

 （4）It is necessary to take personal protection when handling falling sand and understand the safe operating procedures of various falling sand handling equipment.
