Key points for safe operation of gravity casting machine - molding operations

      Pay attention to the safety of lifting and transportation during the Gravity Casting Machine molding operation. You must not work under the lifting object for convenience. The sand mold should be placed on a stable and strong support to prevent objects from falling and colliding with people.

 

 1. When manually shaping and making cores, pay attention to prevent injuries such as the sand box and core box falling to the ground and hitting your feet, fingers being squeezed by the sand box, nails and other sharp metal pieces in the sand, and nails pricking your feet. During operation, pay attention to the way you transport sand boxes and core boxes, wear safety shoes with strong soles, and use screening or magnetic separation to separate nails, metal fragments, etc. from the sand.

 

2. The core iron and the reinforcing ribs of the sand box should not be exposed on the surface of the mold. Otherwise, because it absorbs moisture, the molten metal will easily produce "hot fire" when it comes into contact with it, which can burn workers.

 

3. When using a pit shape, it is necessary to know the water level of the pit shape part to prevent the high-temperature metal liquid from exploding when it encounters moisture during pouring. The exhaust holes should also be arranged so that the gas at the bottom of the mold can be smoothly discharged out of the mold.

 

4. Stacking sand boxes for modeling should prevent them from collapsing and injuring people. The total height of the stack should generally not exceed 2m.

 

5. When sand blasting and modeling, the operators should cooperate with each other; do not pile sand boxes and other items around the cantilever of the sand blasting machine; when stopping work, the cantilever should be tightly surrounded so that it cannot swim.

   

6. When using the machine for molding and core making, you must be familiar with the machine's performance and safe operating procedures.

 

 7. When tamping sand, the operator should wear hard-toed work shoes and stay focused. When operating the tamping machine, the tamping hammer should not be tamped on the feet or on the sides of the box, box belts, gates and air outlets to avoid damage. Affect the quality of the sand mold and cause personal accidents.
