What is the process flow of stamping dies?

Stamping dies are special process equipment that processes materials (metal or non-metal) into parts (or semi-finished products) during cold stamping. They are called cold stamping dies (commonly known as cold stamping dies). Here is a summary of the production process flow of stamping dies.

 

 

Metal stamping die production process

1. Milling six-sided bevel ruler (verticality error is not more than 0.1/300), the length and width of the same die material can be consistent, and the thickness is left with 0.2mm grinding allowance (0.5mm grinding allowance for quenched parts); chamfering of edges.

2. Grinding the upper and lower planes (0.3mm for quenched workpieces)

1. Drill and tap the screw holes, through holes, and threading holes according to the drawings;

2. Mill the leakage holes or forming parts;

3. After heat treatment, the workpiece needs to grind the upper and lower planes and the reference edge;

4. Turning each rotating part, the tolerance is as required by the drawing.

☆☆All pin holes cannot be processed first: drill through the wire holes that need heat treatment, and the rest are drilled and reamed during assembly

III. Wire cutting:

Wire cut each forming part according to the matching requirements specified in the drawing.

The guide column, guide sleeve and die frame are tightly matched; the punch and fixed plate are transitionally matched; the pins and each hole are transitionally matched.

IV. Assembly:

1. First assemble the die frame according to the drawing to ensure that the guide column, guide sleeve and die frame are perpendicular and move smoothly

2. Fix the die on the die frame first, and evenly place the copper sheet of corresponding thickness around the die according to the gap given in the drawing, and then install the punch. After the test paper is punched to confirm that the burrs around are uniform, tighten the convex and concave dies and match the pins. (If it is a compound die, it is also necessary to align the punch gap and then fix the convex and concave dies).

3. Then install the unloading and ejection mechanism

 

V. Overall processing sequence of the mold:

1. Prioritize the workpieces that need heat treatment

2. Secondly process the workpieces that need wire cutting

3. Then process the mold frame components, namely the upper support and the base

4. Then process other parts. 5.
