How much do you know about the safe operating procedures of hydraulic presses?

1. Hydraulic press operators must undergo training and master the machine performance and operating techniques before they can operate independently.

2. Before operation, the dirt on the hydraulic press rod should be wiped off and the debris on the equipment should be cleaned.

3. Before installing the mold of the hydraulic press, power off the equipment. Do not bump the start button or step on the foot switch.

4. If you have a mold, place the mold in the center of the workbench. Do not deviate from the center on one side. Install the upper and lower molds in the center, adjust the mold gap, and confirm that the mold is fixed before testing the pressure again.

5. Before working on the hydraulic press, you should start the equipment and run it idling for 5 minutes. At the same time, check whether the motor is reversed, whether the oil level in the oil tank is sufficient, whether the sound of the oil pump is normal, and whether there are leaks in the hydraulic unit, pipes, joints, and pistons.

6. Start the equipment and perform a pressure test to check whether the pressure reaches the working pressure, whether the equipment operates normally and reliably, and whether there is any leakage.

7. Adjust the working pressure, but it should not exceed 90% of the rated pressure of the equipment. Test the pressure on a workpiece and proceed with production after passing the inspection.

8. For different hydraulic press profiles and workpieces, when pressing and calibrating, the working pressure of the press and the number and time of pressure application and pressure holding should be adjusted at any time to ensure that the mold and workpiece are not damaged.

9. When the machine body pressure plate slides up and down, it is strictly prohibited to put your hands and head into the pressure plate or the working part of the mold.

10. It is strictly prohibited to perform knocking, stretching, welding, bending, twisting and other operations on the work while applying pressure.

11. Smoking, welding, and fire are prohibited around the hydraulic press, and flammable and explosive items are not allowed to be stored. Take fire prevention measures.

12. After the hydraulic press is finished working, the power supply should be cut off, the hydraulic rod of the press should be wiped clean, add lubricating oil, and the molds and workpieces should be cleaned and placed neatly.
